Disfida con l'arco
Questa gara con l’arco tra i due rioni storici del paese, si svolge la seconda domenica di settembre, e durante la manifestazione troviamo anche scene di vita medioevale in costume.
Archery challenge
Second sunday of september. A wonderful festival that brings back Medieval times to Montopoli. This historical evocation and archery challenge, between the two parts of the town of Montopoli Valdarno as divided in 1412, is a spectacular festival in medieval costume. Five archers from each section compete to claim the coveted banner.
Fiera degli uccelli
Questo appuntamento in cui si vendono oltre ai volatili, utensili agricoli, tipici prodotti locali e ceramiche artistiche, si svolge l’ultima domenica del mese di Settembre.
Festival of birds
Funny event, in which they sell in addition to the volatile, agricultural tools, ceramics and typical local products. It takes place on the last Sunday of September.
Festa degli aquiloni
La domenica successiva alla Pasqua si tiene questa divertente e colorata festa per salutare l’arrivo della primavera. Centinaia di aquiloni si divincolano nel cielo. A far diventare ancor più suggestiva l’atmosfera un corteo storico sfila per le vie di San Miniato con uomini che indossano gli abiti di personaggi che hanno fatto la storia del paese.
Mercatino dell'antiquariato
Ogni prima domenica del mese nei loggiati di San Domenico troviamo un mercatino d’antiquariato, con mobili di provenienza italiana, ma anche etnica, soprattutto indiana.
Mostra Nazionale del tartufo bianco
Mese di novembre. Il Tartufo Bianco delle Colline Samminiatesi è il Tuber Magnatum Pico, il Cibo dei Re, il fungo sotterraneo più pregiato, che si trova, a pochi centimetri di profondità, in un numero limitato di aree predilette dalla natura. La tradizione del tartufo, a San Miniato, affonda le radici nel Medioevo. Da 30 anni si tiene a San Miniato la Mostra Mercato Nazionale del Tartufo Bianco che trasforma la Città in un grande laboratorio del gusto a cielo aperto.
Festival of kites
On following Sundays to the Easter this amusing and colored party are held for greeting the arrival in the spring. Hundreds of kites they wriggle him in the sky. National White Truffle of San Miniato Show
The White Truffle from the San Miniato hills, a geographical truffle-producing area that extends towards the inland countryside of Pisa, is known as the Tuber Magnatum Pico, the Food of the Kings, and is the most valuable of this underground fungi. For thirty years the Mostra Mercato Nazionale del Tartufo Bianco di San Miniato (The National White Truffle of San Miniato Show), transforms the city for the entire month of November into a huge open-air tasting workshop.
